Choir

The Amersham Free Church choir has been enriching worship with additional music since about 1990. The small but dedicated membership meet once a week for rehearsal throughout the year and has developed an extensive repertoire of anthems, introits, carols and songs of fellowship. The choir also provides light musical entertainment at various social functions held at the church, including Harvest Suppers and the Women's Own group.

Occasionally, the choir is augmented by choral singers from other churches in the area to provide a musical evening worship under the title "let the Church Choirs Sing". These services give the choirs an opportunity to perform music of greater complexity than is usually possible in a liturgical setting, and previous services have included the Requiem by Gabriel Faure, The Crucifixion by John Stainer and one of Vivaldi's Glorias.

Amersham Free Church choir meets on Friday evenings at 7.30pm and is always happy to welcome new members - so if you'd like to find out more or are thinking about joining, please contact Sara Autton who will be happy to help.
