December was a busy and really worthwhile month as we hosted a number of services to which we welcomed our local community. Thank you to everyone who, behind the scenes, made all this happen.
Sunday 7th December 2025
Advent Sunday with Heather preaching and Church Lunch with an Advent/Christmas feel. This year we also exhibited many Christmas story boxes made by church organisations and user group hirers.
Saturday 13th December 2025
We gathered in the Church Hall to hear the Christingle story and make them. We then had a service in the church which concluded with the candlelight procession, followed by sausage and chips back in the hall. A great way to welcome our local community.
Sunday 14th Dcember 2025
We said farewell to one of our organists, Hilary Davan Wetton, and said 'thank you' for all the music he has shared with us.
Sunday 21st December 2025
We held our All Age Nativity, this year organised by the Not the 21 Again group. Without any rehearsal we loved sharing in a wonderful presentation of the Christmas story.
Christmas Eve 2025
At 4pm on Christmas Eve afternoon the church was full as we came together to sing the carols and hear the bible readings that make this time of year so special.
Christmas Day 2025
We lit the Christmas candle and welcomed in a Holy Day.
Sunday 28th December 2025
A quieter service, after which we gathered for coffee at the back of the church as the church hall floor is being refurbished.
