We held our Eco Fair on Saturday 14th September 2024 - a bright, sunny autumn day.
We welcomed our Mayor, Councillor Dominic Pinkney, as he declared the Fair open and then stayed for an hour chatting to the public and stall holders.
Our AFC Eco Team had done a great job in planning the day, esepcially in contacting so many groups in Amersham and district with an eco focus. The whole point of the Fair was for AFC to offer our building as a place for these groups to showcase their activities.
The catering team provided light refreshments and then lunch and a special children's activity room was available.
A new innovation since the last Fair in 2022 was the Loving Earth project in the Sanctuary as various people and organisations, including our own Hands Together group, displayed their craftwork celebrating nature and the environment.
So, thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a worthwhile event that blended church and community in such a positive way.
